Help for a sink, bath or drain that will not clear
A slow sink and a blocked toilet need different starting information. MintHome's Toronto unclogging service covers toilets, floor drains, bathtubs and sinks. Identify the affected fixture and describe what happens when water drains, including whether the problem has returned after an earlier attempt.
A quote request is not a confirmed booking.
Four household drain types
The service list covers these common fixtures. Include the fixture's location and whether other drains in the home are affected.
- Toilets that are blocked or slow to clear.
- Floor drains with standing water or restricted flow.
- Bathtubs that drain slowly or remain full.
- Kitchen and bathroom sinks with restricted drainage.
Basic unclogging
Some blockages can be cleared without taking apart the toilet, sink or pipes. Tell us if paper, fabric, hair or food may be involved; the method will depend on what we find.
High-difficulty unclogging
A deeper obstruction, foreign object, roots or hardened buildup may need more work, including taking parts apart. Let us know what happened before the blockage so we can assess the right approach.
- Access to the affected pipe or fixture.
- Depth and location of the blockage.
- Whether dismantling is needed.
- Whether specialist equipment is required.
Information that helps before a visit
Note when the problem started and whether it is constant or intermittent.

Mention previous attempts and any products used. For a Toronto condo, include the unit and building access arrangements and any information from building management.
- Which fixture is affected and what you observe.
- Whether more than one fixture is draining poorly.
- What has already been tried and whether it changed the problem.
- Photos of the fixture and accessible pipework, if available.
Assessment, work and review
The service process starts with a description of the problem, followed by on-site work and a review of the result.

Confirm the work required before it begins, especially if access or dismantling changes the scope. Restoring drainage and repairing or replacing a fixture are distinct tasks.

Frequently asked questions
Does a blocked toilet or sink always need dismantling?
Not necessarily. It depends on the location and severity of the blockage. Tell us which fixtures are affected, whether water backs up and what has already been tried so the tools and work needed can be assessed.
Can I ask about several small repairs together?
Yes. Send a description and photos of each item. Parts, materials and the work involved may differ, so we will discuss each task separately. Repairs are not automatically included in a cleaning visit.
