Give mattresses and fabric surfaces a closer clean

Mattresses, sofas and carpets need a different approach from kitchen counters and hard floors. This service focuses on the fabric items you want cleaned, with the method chosen for their material and condition. Identify each item, any stains and the care instructions before agreeing the work.

A quote request is not a confirmed booking.

Start with the items and their condition

A mattress, upholstered sofa and fitted carpet each have their own size, construction and access needs. List them separately so the cleaning scope is clear.

  • Mattresses and accessible fabric surfaces.
  • Upholstered furniture, including sofas.
  • Carpeted areas.
  • Visible staining or areas needing particular attention.

Choose the method for the material

The service description includes mechanical agitation and steam cleaning.

Discuss which steps are suitable for each item and check its care label before treatment. The method should follow the fabric and construction; a single treatment is not assumed to suit every surface.

Agree what will be cleaned

Confirm the sides and areas of each item that are accessible and included.

Point out existing marks, loose seams, worn fabric or earlier treatments. Cleaning outcomes depend on the material and condition, so permanent stains and damage should be discussed before work begins.

  • Item type, size and number of pieces.
  • Fabric or manufacturer care information, if available.
  • Photos of visible marks and the whole item.
  • Which surfaces can be reached.
  • Any previous products or treatments used.

Prepare the space and plan drying

Discuss access around beds and furniture and what you need to move beforehand. Ask about drying and when each item can be used again for the method selected. Keep the item accessible for a review after cleaning.

Choose your service area

Tell us where the items are and what you’d like cleaned. We’ll check the address, treatment and appointment with you. Fabric care is quoted separately from cleaning the rooms around it.

Frequently asked questions

What do you need to quote for carpet or sofa cleaning?

Tell us the items, quantity, dimensions or number of seats, visible stains and any known materials. Photos and care labels help. We quote for the actual items rather than using a whole-home cleaning estimate.

Can every fabric be steam-cleaned or wet-cleaned?

No. The material, construction and care label need to be checked for suitability for heat and moisture. Share any special care requirements beforehand; one method does not suit every fabric.

Can old stains or pet urine stains always be removed?

Not always. The material, how long the stain has been there and products used previously all affect the result. Some marks improve without disappearing completely. Describe the stain when asking for a quote and include a photo if you have one, so we can assess it beforehand.

When can I use my carpet or sofa after cleaning?

Wait until the cleaned area is fully dry. The material, cleaning method, ventilation and humidity affect how long that takes, and we'll advise based on the actual conditions. Plan for drying time rather than using it immediately afterwards.
